M. Stephen Cho is a partner in the Law Offices of Sheasby, Cho & Middleton where he practices all areas of civil and commercial litigation at the firm’s San Bernardino County office. His expertise pertains to commercial entities from family-owned concerns to closely held corporations with 200 employees on legal contracts, labor and compliance issues, and mortgage lending issues for the firm’s real estate clients.

Prior to the formation of the firm, Mr. Cho served as a founding partner in the Law Office of Cho and De La Cerra from 2006 until 2008. He began his legal practice as a sole practitioner in the Law Office of M. Stephen Cho in Jan. 2002.

Mr. Cho is known as a formidable attorney with valuable relationships in all many areas of the law. In addition to his legal expertise, Mr. Cho comes from a multidisciplinary background in the martial arts that includes a fourteen year career as a trainer and manager of martial art fighters, the co-owner of a martial arts gym, and 13+ years of service with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department as a volunteer Deputy Sheriff.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Mr. Cho emigrated to the U.S. in 1980 where he earned a Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Riverside and a Juris Doctor from Western State University College of Law. He was admitted to the State Bar in 2002 by the U.S. District Court, Central District and is a member of San Bernardino County Bar Association.

While enrolled in school, Mr. Cho co-founded and ran a mixed, martial arts gym from 1994 – 2005. As an advisor and trainer, he managed the business from the ground up, a feat that required expertise in contract compliance, human resources, elections, and helping the top fighter negotiate contracts to compete in state and national competitions, as well as many other business necessities. As such, he learned, firsthand about the legal issues facing small business owners. This experience helped shape his decision to become an attorney and to practice business law.

Mr. Cho serves as chairman of the board of the Vocational Improvement Program in Rancho Cucamonga assisting developmentally disabled individuals in job training and job placement and is a past board member.
