All three partners in the Law Offices of Sheasby, Cho & Middleton are active in community service projects in their communities.
Ronda Middleton sit on the board of the non profit, FACES (Family Assessment Counseling and Education Services) in Fullerton, CA. FACES is an Orange County organization that helps families whose children have been caught up in the crossfire of divorce.
Matthew Sheasby serves as a member of the San Marino County Search and Rescue. He is a founding member of the Etiwanda Excellence in Education Foundation, a non profit corporation supporting local schools and serves on the Strategic Planning Board of Cardon Arbor School in Upland, CA.
Stephen Cho is a Los Angeles County Sheriff Reserve Deputy. Additionally, Cho serves as chairman of the board of the Vocational Improvement Program in Rancho Cucamonga assisting developmentally disabled individuals in job training and job placement.
Pro Bono ProjectsIn addition, from June 2007 through October 2008, Ronda Middleton served as co-counsel for a complex custody litigation case involving a mother of three who fled a notorious, worldwide cult of approximately 10,000 active members. As a result of leaving the cult and exposing its alleged abuse to the media, the client lost contact with her children, aged 10 – 15, who she believed were being threatened and abused by cult members.
As part of a team of attorneys working on this case, a settlement was reached on the eve of the ten-day trial providing full custody to the mother along with a detailed custodial arrangement. This arrangement set up safeguards for the children’s safety and held the father accountable for financial responsibilities and fees.
